Sandilands responded, clarifying that he will be a guest judge for the grand final only.
“It is just a one off,” he said. “It is not a big deal. Good luck Sonia, I hope it goes well because I know it can be tedious when some 80-year-old grandma comes out and puts a lamp shade on their head and goes, ‘I am a lamp shade’, and then you have to sit there for three minutes.”
As well Kruger, Sandilands will joined by fellow judges Olympia Valance, Shane Jacobson and Manu Feildel.
“It’ll be great to be back in the judging seat for Australia’s Got Talent although what’s even greater is the show only needing my judging skills for when all the early rubbish is swept away and only the best of the best remain,” he told The Daily Telegraph. “I can’t wait.”
The radio star previously graced the judging panel back in 2010, alongside Bryan McFadden and Dannii Minogue.
