Adam Levine revealed Ellen Degeneres named his and Behati Prinsloo’s baby
Naming a firstborn is never an easy task, but for Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, the process was simplified with the help of their friend Ellen Degeneres.
Levine, 37, and the comedian, 58, retold the sweet story on November 3 while appearing on The Ellen Degeneres show.
While the Maroon 5 frontman and his 27-year-old model wife eventually called their daughter Dusty Rose courtesy of Degeneres, He recalled how he was originally going to choose another name – however DeGeneres didn't approve. However, she did give him five names "to think about," and naturally, "Dusty"was one of them.
"The name game is a tough game," the Voice coach said. "And I think I had a great name, and I texted Ellen and I was like, 'What do you think?' And she's like, 'I hate it. I think it's a terrible name.' And I was like, 'Uh, cool.'"
"So, you basically named my kid," Levine quipped. "I ran it by my wife, and she was like, 'Err, I don't like it.' And then I brought it back to her in the eleventh hour, and she was like, 'I love it!'"
Levine and the Prinsloo have been married since 2014 and welcomed their first child together on September 21.
