Guy Sebastian has penned a heartfelt letter to his younger self, urging him to ignore people who tell you “you’re not good enough.”
The 2003 Australian Idol winner, 34, admitted that people said he didn’t have the right look for stardom but advised himself not to listen to them.
“People will tell you it's not a possibility, that you don't have the right 'look', that you're not good enough. They don't have a crystal ball,” he told Sunday Life.
“Sometimes people will let you down. Sometimes you will let yourself down. Sometimes things won't go your way and sometimes your heart will get broken. Sometimes, actually often, your trust will be broken and people will take advantage of you,” the singer/songwriter wrote, adding: “However, don't ever let this change you.”

The “Battle Scars” singer concluded the sentimental piece by advising his younger self not to allow negative thoughts shape his life, or to let “bad experiences close you up.”
Sebastian, who shares sons Hudson, 4, and Archer, 2, with wife Jules, is currently preparing to return to the judging chair for the new X-Factor Australia series on Channel Seven alongside Iggy Azalea and Adam Lambert.
