Slated for release on September 28, Love is in the Air follows Goodrem as Dana Randall; "an ultra-committed pilot for non-profit air service, Fullerton Airways, located in picturesque Far North Queensland." The film then begins to take a turn when Goodrem's character starts to fall for the London-based financial officer William, who has been sent to Australia to conduct an audit of Dana's airline business.
William's loyalty is then torn as he begins to fall for Dana, with the feeling appearing to be mutual "until she accidentally discovers his true purpose."
The romance also stars Galavant star Joshua Sasse as Goodrem's love interest, with the stars also joined by comedian Steph Tisdell and The Chronicles of Narina: Voyage of the Dawn Treader's Roy Billing.
The upcoming Australian feature was shot last year in Queensland's Whitsunday Islands, with the local production forming part of Netflix's multi-million dollar investment in Australian-made titles.
Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, Netflix Australia and New Zealand's Director of Content Que Minh Luu shared that the streaming giant currently has four Australian titles in the pipeline; two series, one documentary, and one feature film.
"Speaking as both someone who works for Netflix, but also speaking as an Australian, I'm really motivated by proving that [Australian content] works [and] proving to the audience that you come to Netflix for our Australian shows," Luu told the publication.
