Though she announced she was heading overseas for work, it was also revealed by The Wash that Jess had struck up a friendship and been chatting online for six months with a man from the UK - who the Daily Mail Australia revealed to be Connor Thompson, host of the Erasing the Bar podcast.
Jess had appeared on his podcast a few times before, and it's believed the star quarantined at home with Connor upon arrival in Manchester in October.
A source told The Sun they had broken up just days after Jess moved to the UK, claiming it was then that she signed up for Celebs Go Dating. Interesting.
Since those reports, she's played it cool on Instagram while promoting her show - though it's been clear all along that the duo are in fact a loved-up item.
One of her first posts with Connor was shared in December 2021, enjoying drinks together with friends in Manchester.
"[The] people you meet 100000% make the difference and it’s safe to say I’ve met some friends here who will be friends for a life time," she wrote to a fan in the comments.
The post later went viral on Celeb Spellcheck after Connor posted the same photo. It was clear Jess had not only photoshopped a vape out of the picture, but appeared to have edited her face to have more make-up.
Despite the source claims that Jess and Connor had split in October, they went on to spend Halloween together - where they dressed as Barbie and Ken - and enjoy Christmas with his family.
"Merry Christmas everyone! I can’t believe this year is almost over," she wrote on Instagram. "What a big year for me! I’m so excited to have my very first UK Christmas with Connor and his beautiful family. Have a safe and happy time guys."
Since then they've also been busy sightseeing, checking out Harry Potter World and Stonehenge, and posting more loved-up photos together as they settle into the relationship.
They've even caught up with Jess' MAFS co-star Tamara Joy, who called the pair "cuties" and clearly approves of the budding relationship.
Her new relationship with Connor comes after Jess opened up about her love-life on Big Brother.
Jess spoke about when her MAFS partner, Dan Webb, broke up with her on live television during a Talking Married segment in the finale week.
“I really loved him,” Jess told Big Brother, adding “yes” when she was asked if Dan had broken her heart.
“I moved states for him, I moved my whole life and I thought I was doing the right thing,” she said. “And then it wasn’t... it just hurt as well because it’s not like a normal breakup where it’s private and you talk about it with each other. The whole of Australia knew, I got broken up with on national TV. That was pretty big.”

Jess revealed she hasn't been in love since her split from Dan, though she did briefly date recording artist Filip Poznanovic in 2021 and has had other short-lived flings.
“I feel like I’m always getting played," she told Big Brother.
While her love-life was a sore point earlier this year on the show, she appears to be happier than ever now in her new relationship.
