News of their son's arrival comes just over one month since Kourtney revealed that she underwent urgent fetal surgery ahead of the birth.
The mum of three took to Instagram to update fans after she was rushed to hospital following pregnancy complications.
In the lengthy Instagram caption, Kourtney thanked her doctors and her husband, Travis, who abruptly left his Blink-182 tour last week to be by her side.
"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," she wrote. "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."
"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."
"Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍"
This pregnancy marks the couple's first child together after marrying in 2022. Kourtney shares three children with ex-partner Scott Disick; Mason, Penelope and Reign, whilst Travis has two kids named Landon and Alabama.
The pair first announced their pregnancy in June 2023, with Kourtney sharing a homemade sign at a Blink 182 concert that read "Travis I'm pregnant."
Shortly after, the pair took to Instagram to share some photos, with Kourtney captioning the gallery, "Overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for God's blessing and plan."
The couple kept fans up to date on their fertility struggles as they experimented with natural treatments and IVF throughout their relationship.
The couple first started seeking fertility treatments in 2021, documenting their egg retrieval process on earlier seasons of The Kardashians. "The fertility journey, Travis and I stay in the moment with it and just do the steps we need to do," Kourtney shared. "It's nice to hear good news and have some positivity, so we love that but we just wait to hear the final thoughts from Dr. Wood once he receives my blood work and really gets to look at the follicles."
However, the couple announced in the following episode that the process was unsuccessful. "He was able to retrieve the egg but it didn't make it to the embryo stage," Kourtney explained.
In December 2022, Kourtney updated fans on her fertility treatments, revealing that she had taken a break from the physically-demanding IVF process. Taking to Instagram, she shared that she was feeling like herself after stopping IVF treatments for 10 months.
In November, Travis told GQ in that the couple had made a decision to talk about IVF to normalize the process, especially for men who might be unaware of their part.
“If any of that can help people — seeing Kourtney’s journey through IVF, which is super hard for a woman. You saw her struggle with it and talk about it. That’s real,” he told the publication. “I don’t care if I’m c**ming in a cup or whatever. It’s real life... And there’s however many millions of dudes that have to go give their semen for this same procedure. So it’s, like, relatable, you know? I’ve never been fazed by any of that.”
