The good vibes kept coming at the reception, where Anderson, who won The Masked Singer in 2020, surprised her new husband by serenading him with an original song that she penned just days before her big day.
“I really left it until crunch time when the lyrics just came to me,” she says. “Sam, of course, was the inspiration. Lyrically, it was very personal. It was a story of us, how he makes me feel, and how lucky Bobby and I are to have him every day.”
Morrison had his own surprise up his sleeve, secretly organising a honeymoon that the newlyweds plan to take early
next year.
“Somewhere I have always wanted to go. North of Australia, just for a week, after all the Christmas parties and gigs,” Anderson hints to WHO. “It will be nice to unwind and get some beautiful sunshine.”
One thing Anderson had locked in shortly after Morrison popped the question in April 2022 was her wedding dress, a custom-made lace creation by designer Jason Grench, with whom she has worked for years.
“I didn’t try a single dress on. As soon as I was engaged, maybe the day after, we met up and I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted,” she says.
“We still have that drawing and the design never changed. It was meant to be.”
A fitting start to married life, which Anderson has high hopes for.
“A happy lifetime with my best friend” is what she looks forward to.
“We have a beautiful life already and I can’t wait to create more exciting adventures,” she says. “Tick off all of our goals, grow our family and make so many more fun and beautiful memories.”
