To be honest, we would also be crying if one of our friends was looking cute and searching for love on TV. But it's not just that.

As the first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette in the franchise history, this moment is historic. As Abbie puts it: "the representation, I'm sobbing."

The fellow Bachelor Australia alum shared a series of posts on her Stories while watching the show, revealing she was feeling emotional as she watched the Welcome To Country ceremony performed in the early moments of the premiere.

"I’m so excited, that literally made me cry seeing her face up there. Imagine how this is going to feel to every Indigenous person who hasn’t ever seen themselves represented," Abbie wrote in the text of one video. "Will I stop crying? No."

Continuing on in her post to reveal she was an emotional wreck, Abbie said: "This is even like... for me, someone Bi, I’m crying. There’s the LGBT element. Oh my god, I didn’t think I'd cry and I actually cant stop."

Later adding text to a photo of herself watching the show, Abbie summed up her viewing experience: "Really proud of The Bachelorette casting reflecting real life, average men and super hot wonderful women."

She wasn't the only Bachelor alum to share their excitement, with Alisha Aitken-Radburn also dedicating a few posts to the major moment.

"Having had a sneak peek of the first few episodes, it’s truly the best season of the Bachelorette yet and I’ll be surprised if there isn’t tears in your eyes in the first five minutes," Alisha wrote on Instagram.

"What I think will really shine through in this season, her ability to be present, to connect, to be vulnerable and be wholly in touch with her own emotions and how others are feeling at any given moment."

Brooke's premiere sure made a mark on fans, too, as she shared a romantic kiss with Jamie-Lee Dayz and scandal erupted over what we're all calling chair-gate - where Jess Franklin 'stole' a 'love seat' set up by Konrad Bien-Stephens.

What will happen tonight? Well, white rose winner Darvid Garayeli will score the first solo date and more cocktail party drama is set to unfold.

The Bachelorette Australia airs Wednesday and Thursday, 7:30pm, on 10.
