Admitting that 31 is going to be "a big ol' year and I'm going to spend it all on myself" the Grammy winner— who hasn't released an album since 2015— hinted that new music is on its way!
"Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually 😂 Bunch of f**king savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you," she joked. "Chin up eh ❤️."
While the line "30 will be a drum n bass record" may have been a throwaway joke, fans of the singer are convinced her highly anticipated fourth album will follow the same pattern as her first three— 19, 21 and 25— and will be named after the year she wrote it. Judging by the happy snaps and her upbeat message, it seems as though her next album could include a few upbeat tracks.
After more than seven years together, on April 17, her reps announced in an official statement that she was splitting from Konecki.
“Adele and her partner have separated,” the singer’s representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh said in a statement to the Associated Press. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Eleven days after sharing the shocking news, she said Hello to Instagram in the form of a cracking meme about her divorce.
"When you catch yourself in your feelings then you remember who you are," she captioned two photos of herself— one where she's looking like she's on the verge of a mental breakdown and another from her Carpool Karaoke segment with James Corden.
Adele and her ex-husband share a 6-year-old son named Angelo.
