Amy Schumer is SO in love with this guy and it's easy to see why.
Not only is he a seriously handsome devil, he's an incredible chef, farmer and all-round good guy. When asked if she's ever had to cook since meeting him, Schumer replied, "I never have and I never will."
So, let's get to know more about the extraordinary man who has stolen Schumer's heart and had her saying "I do" within 4 days of his proposal.
#10 He Grew up on Martha's Vineyard
Born in 1980, The 38-year-old grew up in the rocky landscape of Martha's Vineyard, an affluent summer island just south of Cape Cod on the East Coast of America. You can only get there by boat, plane or helicopter and it's mostly frequented by the rich and famous.
#4 He's a Mover and a Shaker
Schumer was cleaning up after her dog when Fischer made his move. “He came up behind me and he put his arms around me and he kissed my neck. And it was on and then we were just so open with each other.”
#8 He Cooked Dinner for Their First Date
Fischer is a major foodie so when his sister Molly, who is Schumer's assistant, suggested he come and cook for them, he jumped at the chance.
It obviously hit the spot as was just a couple of months from their first date until Fischer and Schumer walked down the aisle. "We knew we wanted to get married and we said let's do it this week," Schumer said on the Kelly and Ryan Show.
#7 He's an Uber Foodie
When it comes to cooking, Chris Fischer adheres to the seasonal rule. Fischer's connection with nature, and specifically the crops he grew with his grandfather, ensure he always cooks and eats in tune with nature.
In 2013 he took a job as head chef at Beach Plum Inn which continues to serve up magnificent dishes like this one (below).
#9 He Likes Surprises
According to Schumer, Fischer woke her up in the middle of the night to propose. Schumer was wearing ear plugs and an eye mask when Fischer presented her with an engagement ring and said "I got you this."
#6 He's Quirky
Which is probably one of the multiple reasons Amy Schumer loves the heck out of him.
In The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook, Fischer reveals how his grandfather, Poppy, was an exceptional gardener who would talk to his plants. Apparently he once shouted at a rose bush and demanded it flower again. Which it has done ever since.
#5 He's a Total Sandwich
They're Schumer's words, not mine. She celebrated their 2-month anniversary by posting this cute-as-pie pic where she called him her little sandwich. Stop it!
#3 He's Uber Romantic
At their Malibu wedding on Feb 13. 2018 Schumer said, "People wonder why the rush and its truly because I couldn't wait another second to be your wife."
Fischer's vows included the lines, "You bring happiness and joy to every part of my life. You're the best thing that ever happened to me."
#2 He's Just the Cutest
Schumer's post sums it up perfectly: "Pretty cute situation I walked in on."
#1 He Likes to Bet with Amy
When they're not at highfaluting events, like the Tony Awards (where Schumer was nominated for Best Actress in Meteor Shower), Mr and Mrs Fischer like to place bets. "We make a lot of bets on sporting events," Schumer told Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Rippa.
The stakes? "If they win you have to sing Castle on a Cloud."
