"I love it," she said of the show, "but it hurts because I auditioned and wanted it so badly."
Explaining why she missed out on playing the iconic red-head diva, Pengilly said her tone wasn't in tune with what the series creator was after.
"I pitched the tone incorrectly because they told us it was like Gossip Girl when it turned out to be way darker," she explained.
