News of her engagement comes nearly two years after she and Michael— who's worked on films such as Ted and You Don't Mess With the Zohan— met on the set of the hit movie Overboard. The loved-up couple confirmed they were dating in October 2017 and were spotted packing on the PDA during a romantic vacation in Venice, Italy a month later.
"Michael had his hand on Anna's back and she rested her head on his shoulder," a source told E! News at the time. "They were checking out all of the architecture along the Grand Canal and pointing out different things. They giggled together and made a few jokes as they enjoyed the ride and took in all of the scenery."
Their coupling came after the House Bunny announced her separation from Hollywood star Chris Pratt eight years after marrying.
"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward," the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star wrote on his official Facebook page.
"We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
The statement was signed with both of the actors' names at the end of it.
