There is another royal that has pulled out of Princess Eugenie’s wedding!
Princess Alexandra, 81, will not be attending the royal wedding as she has recently broken her arm which required surgery and is not taking part in public events following medical advice, Buckingham Palace said.
Princess Alexandra is the youngest grand-daughter of King George V and has suffered several bouts of ill health over the years.
Last year she was forced to pull out of several engagement as she broke her wrist during a fall.
Despite her age, Princess Alexandra remains patron to around 100 organisations and the year prior she undertook around 82 engagements with the queen.
Although she is 50th in line to the throne, Princess Alexandra was known for her glamorous appearances including when she was The Queen’s bridesmaid.
Princess Alexandra is not the only member of the royal family to pull out of Princess Eugenie’s wedding.
The Duchess of Cornwall has also pulled out due to a prior commitment.
Instead Camilla Parker Bowles will conduct an engagement held at a school in Scotland.
“When this date was proposed, she said that regrettably, she couldn’t come,” a source told The Sun.
“The family understood, particularly Eugenie, and were fine about it owing to her previous commitment. Camilla didn’t want to let anyone down.”
