Scott Borchetta has since attempted to refute Taylor's claims on the Big Machine records website, stating that his offer provided her with the chance to own all of her own music.
Ariana remains conflicted on the issue as she considers the Ithaca Holdings executive "family," and has often documented their friendship through Instagram posts.
However, in the wake of Taylor's Tumblr post, Ariana deleted an Instagram story that celebrated Braun's acquisition of Big Machine.
Other celebrities have been clearer about where they stand.
Longtime friend of Taylor, Todrick Hall tweeted that Scooter Braun was "an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego."
Selena Gomez's mother reshared Taylor's Tumblr post to her Instagram, and added this caption:
"Thank you for speaking out about this and teaching future young artist about protecting themselves."
Halsey tweeted in a show of support of the country-pop star.
‘She deserves to own the painstaking labour of her heart. She has surpassed all expectations of what any artist is even capable of,’ Halsey added.
Iggy Azalea also tweeted this in support of Taylor:
"Telling someone about a deal days before it’s public means the deal was already done & she never had the opportunity to even make a bid to own her own work. These deals take months to negotiate in long form."
According to Vulture, Nicki Minaj, Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna have all unfollowed Scooter Braun on Instagram.

Braun's wife, Yael Cohen Braun also came to his defense through an Instagram post.
"My husband is anything but a bully, he’s spent his life standing up for people and causes he believes in,” Yael wrote.
