Michael Buble's son Noah is undergoing treatment to shrink his cancerous tumor and according to The Argentinian Press he will undergo surgery this month.
Buble, 41, and his model wife Luisana Lopilato, 29 announced their son had been diagnosed with liver cancer in November.
Noah was undergoing chemotherapy, however, new reports suggest this has not been successful enough on its own to beat the cancer.
The Argentinian press reports Buble's eldest son has begun his treatment to "shrink the cancerous tumour" in the hope it will become small enough to operate on. It is also believed that the biopsy will be carried out following the treatment, and doctors will then decide whether to continue with the course or go ahead with his operation.
Luisana's older sister Daniela told the press:
“Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.
“We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it’s got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior.”
The singer and his wife's heartbreaking announcement of his son's diagnosis on November 5 read:
“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US.
“We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.
“Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.
“At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy."
