Confirmation of his next gig comes after the newly single star split from his girlfriend and fellow Survivor co-star, Brooke Jowett. Sparks flew between the pair while they were battling it out int he jungle, however, they struggled to keep their romance alive due to distance. Locky is based in Melbourne and Brooke lives between Western Australia and Bali.
“His work means he’d want me to go to him, but I won’t leave my family and my dog,” Brooke told TV Week, adding they were unable to make it work after filming for the adventure series wrapped.
“I’m also really focused on my career. It’s a lot more difficult in the real world than it was out there."
In February, Locky dropped a subtle clue he was in talks to be the next Bachelor when he took part in a parody version of The Bachelor in early February.
Aaron 'AK' Knight took on the role of Bachie host, Osher Gunsberg when single ladies Daisy Richardson, Phoebe Timmins and Brooke asked him to help them find Locky a match.
"Like, I don't know...I can't... I'm like, this is bad. It's not 'The Bachelor On Survivor'," a nervous Locky said to camera.
Doing his best Osher impression, AK said: "Ladies. Locky ... We've had a fantastic 25 days. But, unfortunately, tonight the experience will end for one of you."
Playing along, Locky said to the group of women: "So it's been a long time. I've actually had so much fun with all of you. So I'm gonna give you..." he said, as he handed each of the ladies a single palm leaf.
The hilarious moment didn’t go unnoticed by Osher himself, who shared it on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
He joked in the caption: "I’ve been campaigning for a crossover of #Bachelorau and #Survivorau for many months now. Finally - I present to you - #Survachelor!"
