Alex rose to fame after appearing as a 'contestant' on season four of the bachelor Australia, 2016. The mum-of-one fell in love with Richie, but then after some cryptic posts and a confirmed split a year later after what Alex described in the trailer for bachelor in paradise as a 'grubby' split.
Alex soon went public with her relationship with Maegan Luxa - her teammate in a Melbourne women's AFL team the Frankston Bomber's.
“When it comes to love, my friends and family would tell you that my heart isn’t one to discriminate,” Alex wrote on Instagram at the time.
“I very much fall for a person and the connection that I share with them. My heart is a wild thing, it craves extraordinary adventure. It’s impulsive, sometimes a little dysfunctional but it’s big and loud and I follow it to the nth degree. What a wonderful adventure it is with her.”
The pair dated for seven months - even getting engaged - but cracks started to show when suddenly they both disappeared from each others social media platforms.
Just last month Alex posted a series of images from her time on the bachelor, declaring that she fell in love with 'every fibre' of her being.
In the post on Instagram, she wrote: 'It's a bizarre thing falling in love on national television. Did I really fall in love with Richie?
'At the time, I believed that with every fibre of my being.
'What we were in that moment was powerful and special and I was on cloud nine and what we went through and experienced together was unique.'
Other contestants on this season of ten's bachie include Cat Henesey-Smith, James Trethewie, Nathan Favro, Dasha Gaivoronski, Shannon Baff, Cass Wood, Rachael Gouvignon, Jules Bourne, Davey Lloyd, Bill Goldsmith, Brooke Blurton and Florence Alexandra.
