When Channel Ten spruiked that Cass Wood finally finds love in the new season of Bachelor in Paradise, we breathed a collective sigh of relief for the Sydney starlet.
It’s evident from the promo clips we’ve seen so far that a Cass meets a special someone who floats her boat in Fiji, and the clip has us suspecting any number of the Bach in Paradise blokes.
Cass is giddy with love in the clips, telling us: “I’m kind of nervous. Being nervous for me is a good thing because it means I like someone.”
And she finally teases: “I could see myself falling for this guy. It’s going really well.”
With Sportsbet taking bets on who Cass will walk out with in the finale, we’re confident she’s finally found her perfect man. But who is the lucky guy? Let’s run through the list of possibilities, shall we.
Let’s be real here. With Sam Cochrane asking Tara Pavlovic to marry him in last season’s finale, it’s highly unlikely the Bondi boy will be making a return to Paradise this season. But… anything can happen in reality TV land. And the fact that Sam’s even named on the Sportsbet list makes us wonder if they might know something we don’t? He isn’t on the list of contestants for the 2019 series, but he could make a late appearance, so he's in the running. Watch this space.
At least we know Richie Strahan is actually heading to Paradise, and we’ve also seen that he gets caught up in a 'love square' in which Cass plays a part. Oh, and there’s the teaser we’ve seen where Cass and Richie spend a date at the beach together. Could everything be pointing to Cass and Richie getting their happily ever afters with each other? Sportsbet seem to think he's in with a shot.
Hang on. The last time we saw firefighter Cam Cranley he was vying for the affections of Georgia Love on the Bachelorette. He's another Sportsbet wildcard, we feel. Unfortunately it’s highly unlikely that Cam is Cass’s man, given that he went public with a new relationship last year. And a quick stalk of the Perth boy’s Instagram show’s the pair are still very much a couple. So we’re not buying that he’d be heading into Paradise anytime soon. Save your money on this one.
Now we’re getting to the more serious players. James Trethewie features heavily in Cass’s finding love promo. But while that could be a Channel Ten ruse to throw us off the scent, the fact that the Tassie-born financial advisor is currently living in Sydney, which is Cass’s home turf, would certainly keep things simple if the pair were to become a couple. Could Cass be the leading lady James has been looking for? It's a distinct possibility, that's for sure.
We also saw a lot of hot favourite Nathan Favro in the clip, talking about how his “eyes are drawn to her, and she’s stunning.” So far, he’s saying all the right things. The fact that Nathan is living in Sydney also plays well if he and Cass were together as a couple. But an Insta stalk shows he’s been based in Byron for some time, while Cass is well and truly living in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. So while we're not discounting Nathan, only time will tell.
