WHO: Your time in Paradise came to an end fairly abruptly last night. Did it come as a bit of a surprise to you?
No, I wasn’t surprised. The moment Osher said no one else was coming in, I knew I was going home. Because it was couple's week - and I had nobody.
WHO: How did you feel being in that situation? It must have been awkward being one of only two single ladies on ‘Couple's Island’?!
Yeah! Exactly! I was happy to leave right then. It was a bit hard to walk around Paradise from the start, not having anybody. Also, after my date with Apollo and he told me he was going to invest in Simone, I was like, ‘Next! Who is coming in.’ I was always looking at the Paradise doors. But Thomas came in - I didn’t look at him twice. So yeah - it was a bit weird. But I just had to tell myself that the problem wasn’t me, the problem... It was a secluded island!
WHO: How did you feel about the whole Eden situation? Were you surprised by what he was telling you in Sunday night’s episode?
I’m not sure if anybody really wants to hear that - but that was not really how it happened.
WHO: What? Really? How did it all play out?
So, Eden really left because he had nobody else. He heard nobody else was coming to Paradise, and he was like, ‘You know what? I’m just going to leave. I don’t need to go to the Rose Ceremony.’ Before he left, he and I had a talk that we didn’t really care to have. He and I didn’t really have to have it, because he knew he wasn’t going to get anywhere with me. And I think he got upset because we had to have that talk. And it was embarrassing to have to say it out loud for the camera.
WHO: Ooh - awkward...
And it was uncomfortable for him. It was uncomfortable for me. After that I was pulled away for a little bit. But before he left, he made sure I was called, so he could say goodbye to me. So we had a goodbye…
WHO: We didn’t see much of that though...
It was really beautiful. We hugged it out, and we said we were good friends. And then he left. That’s why I’m upset - because they did not show that scene.
WHO: It’s nice you guys stayed friends, even though he did the dirty on you with that letter…
Well, Eden is not the only one who did the letter, first of all. Eden is part of the group who did it...
WHO: Wait, what? How come he took the blame for it?
The others did not own up to it. And it’s a shame. Maybe they will now - who knows.
WHO: Who else was involved?
I would rather not say, because Eden chose not to say. And I am going to respect his decision. He is a good guy.
WHO: But after learning of his involvement - why did you choose to keep him?
I couldn't’ deal with sending him home and having his Paradise experience end with hurt and with him regretting something he had done. I am not going to like him less. I had love for him as a friend, so there was no way I could send him home like this. Of course forgiveness is the best thing to do.
WHO: In tonight’s episode we see you make a play for Apollo fire-twirling. Were you worried about Simone at this point, or is your friendship totally over?
No, Simone and I were actually OK. Spinning fire was something Apollo and I had asked the producers from the beginning if we could get fire toys. The fire toys miraculously landed that last night. I would have been very selfish if I had taken the fire toys and started fire twirling with everyone in Paradise without telling Apollo his toys were here.
WHO: So you weren’t into him?
Completely. The moment after the letter, Apollo told me before that that he was choosing to invest in Simone. From that moment on, I was friends with both of them. I am not going to lie, I was thinking, ‘OK, if it doesn’t work out with Simone we...’ And that is what everyone was doing - juggling. If it doesn’t work out with Simone and Apollo likes me, maybe I can get to know him if we still have time. But I wasn’t trying to fight for him.
WHO: So it was innocent?
Completely And we didn’t realised Simone was going to be so crazy. We actually thought she was going to come and watch. When the fire toys got here we were super excited to do a show in Paradise. Then nobody showed up. This is why I screamed ‘Paradise!’ because I wanted everyone to see - it was for everyone.
WHO: Are you and Simone still friends?
No. Apollo and I are friends - but Simone and I are never going to be friends again. I know the last time I saw her was at the end of the ceremony. Before I left, she looked at me with a really sad face, and it looked like she was about to come see me. But her name got called, and she wasn’t allowed to give me a hug. So she stayed in line, and that’s the last I saw of her. But we don't have the same values in friendship. It’s never been about a guy. It’s been about how she has treated me, from the beginning. In my home - or anywhere else. We are just different people. And it’s not going to work.
WHO: So have you caught up with Apollo since? I want to see you guys as a double act now! You could be his assistant!
Yeah, we have caught up a few times. We are friends.
WHO: Are you seeing anyone now?
Yes I am.
WHO: Anyone we know?
No. I met him a week after I got out of Paradise, actually. He is 31, from Napoli, a really, really amazing intense Italian Stallion.
WHO: Did you meet him here?
Yes. I went to a festival I was hired to spin fire at. We pretty much fell in love on the spot.
WHO: What is his name?
It’s Salvatore.
WHO: So you’ve gone from Apollo...to Salvatore! Romantic names!
Exactly. When I met him he was like, ‘Salvatore…’and I was like, ‘Arghh!’
WHO: See - everything happens for a reason…
My god. I walked out and I was ready to fall in love, And I didn’t. And I was like, ‘Oh, come on!’ And then this happened.
WHO: Do you look back on your time in Paradise as a good thing, or do you have a few regrets about taking part?
I had an amazing time in Paradise. On the flight home I wrote down everything I had learnt. I was very inspired and felt really good about myself, and all my decisions because I stayed true to myself. But when I see it [on TV] I feel a bit disgusted...it’s hard to watch.
