When asked about how she reacted to the criticism she faced at the Bula Banquet, Keira confessed that it was "hard", particularly the morning after.
"It was a bit hard for me because I had someone questioning my character and my integrity, it made it really difficult for me to then continue. I woke up the next day thinking ‘I don’t even want to be here,’" she said.
"It was just hard. From then on I had to prove myself to people. I was like ‘I already have to do this on the outside world’ but I guess when you put yourself out there on reality TV you’re opening yourself up to be judged and criticised."
Keira added: "I just thought that people should know better in those situations - if you have a problem with me maybe take me aside instead of positioning yourself as a victim, she knew what she was doing but I’m the idiot that fell for it.”
The season four fan favourite also revealed why she went back on the show, adding that she thinks there are "two reasons you go on there."
"I think that we all want to find love. Ultimately that is the goal. Is it realistic to find it in this situation? Yes it is, it’s happened before so there is that hope," she said before remarking that you "always have to have a backup plan."
"What if I don’t find love? What am I going to get out of this? I'm putting myself in a position where people are going to judge me and ridicule me but I need to get something out of it. Of course you’re going to get Instagram followers, especially if that’s your business - that’s a pretty smart thing to do."
"I said I would never do Bachelor in Paradise again - I’m not that desperate, and then here I am!" Keira added.
"When I was asked I literally was like 'No, there is no way I’m doing this again.' But then I got off the phone and I went overseas and I was having a little bit of FOMO going 'Why am I still thinking about this?' So because I was thinking about it, what I felt like was right so I did it. I'm happy that I did do it."
Ahead of her arrival in Paradise, Keira hit back at critics accusing her of being "predictable" and slamming her fo returning to reality TV once again.
When one person commented on the official BIP Instagram page: "Jumping from reality show to another is just her wanting to get her reassurance that she has not been forgotten by all," Keira hit back by replying: "Exactly, how did you know," followed by a kiss face emoji.
The 34-year-old reality star met her ex-boyfriend Jarrod Woodgate on season one of Bachelor in Paradise but the couple split six months before she joined the season three cast.
