It's the kind of semi-vain tongue-in-cheek comment we've heard a lot of from Ciarran since we met him a few weeks ago as he sashayed oh-so stylishly into Angie's life. But when he opened up after their wild ride around the harbour, it became clear that there's so much more to this larrikin.
"You're pretty eccentric..." she broached, hoping to find out if there was anything behind the jokes and the hair. "Why do you think that you're like that for?
"I don't know, just the way I was brought up," he replied.
And then the floodgates opened.
He was stuck in a cycle of moving house constantly, changing schools and being forced to make friends quickly, before having to leave them again, he revealed.
"My mum moved about that much... New school, make friends, couple months later, new school, make friends. So, it was pretty awful. Pretty crap. It's hard to talk about in a situation like this."
While our hearts were breaking (Angie's, too), the 25-year-old continued his story.
"That's why I'm confident; that's why, if I say I'm going to do something, I'm gonna do it.
But then people say, 'Oh, he just likes to show off with all these fancy things.' I'm like, no, I never had anything when I was younger, so if I can get it now, then why not? It shouldn't really matter what anyone else thinks."
Time to be a little more like Ciarran? We think yes.
He also shared in a piece to camera how hard it was to open up about his painful childhood.
"Making myself vulnerable and open up to Angie, you know, it's a big thing for me to do that, 'cause I'm not one to talk about my feelings. But if I'm gonna be here for Angie, I want to be, like, the best version of myself I can be."
And it paid off – he scored himself a kiss, a rose... and had Angie catching feelings she hadn't felt before.
"He's not what he looks like and how he acts," she gushed.
"I think he's got a lot of hurt, and the fact that he can open up to me means a lot, because it means that he knows I care and that he must care enough to tell me.
"Ciarran's just, like, blown me away. He's just quite beautiful. I didn't think that I would like him as much as I do. I really like him."
While we've seen plenty of his party-boy behaviour – both on the show and in the news headlines – this isn't the first time Ciarran's revealed himself to be a big softy at heart.
After smashing his stand-up comedy routine earlier in the week – the latest gruelling group date former Gogglebox Australia star Angie put her hopefuls through – Ciarran scored his second round of alone time with the blonde bombshell.
And there was one thing on his mind!
"I'm absolutely buzzing that I've got this one-on-one time with Angie again, you know?" he said in a piece to camera.
"It's a good time to try and, like, connect with each other, to show a bit more of a romantic side, and hopefully it all goes well."
