But in a shock turn of events, one British broadcaster tried to mar the happy time with a disgraceful tweet against sweet Archie.
On Wednesday, BBC Radio host Danny Baker thought it was appropriate to tweet out a black and white photo of a chimpanzee, holding hands with an English couple.
"Royal baby leaves hospital,” he captioned the image.
He then deleted the photo - saying he didn't think it was racist.
Following his termination, he said, "'The BBC must uphold the honour of blah-blah-blah'."
"Basically, they said to me, 'You meant that tweet'. I said to them, 'You think so?'" [They said] 'Well, we found it...' and I said, 'F--- you'."
He also apologised on Twitter: "Sorry my gag pic of the little fella in the posh outfit has whipped some up. Never occurred to me because, well, mind not diseased," he wrote.
