Fallen AFL star Ben Cousins has been jailed for 12 months.
Cousins is facing the sentencing after breaching a violence restraining order multiple times, the Herald Sun reports.
This month the 38-year-old pleaded guilty to 11 offences, including aggravated stalking of his former partner, Maylea Tinecheff, drug possession and breaching a VRO.
Although a spot became available for the former Brownlow medalist to attend a rehab program, police prosecutors are seeking a jail sentence instead.
The Herald Sun reports last week a Perth court was told he has “no intention of quitting drugs”, however his lawyer said he is ready and willing to enter a rehabilitation program.
