In a chat with TV WEEK, Chad confessed that he was pleased with how his and Sophie's relationship was portrayed on-screen, adding that he's stayed away from articles about them.
Despite corona keeping them apart in their respective home states and the fact that he and Sophie haven't seen each other since filming wrapped, the couple have stayed in contact.
"We call each other with each episode and we've been chatting through messages," he told the publication.
"[The finale] is when I'll see her next. It'll be really good - we deserve it, we can have a good old drink together finally."
However after a couple of awkward radio interviews, not everyone is convinced that Chad and Sophie will last for much longer.
After a chat on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the hosts pressed the couple if they'd consummated their relationship to which Chad and Sophie both avoided answering.
"Do you guys want to kiss now or something? I'm feeling something's not right here... Are you feeling something's not right Jackie?" Kyle Sandilands said.
During another chat on The Ben, Rob & Robbo Show, Chad also hinted that things weren't all good when he said: "Like I said, I'm excited to see her tomorrow night. It's going to be awesome... but you never know until you see us at the finale."
Chad and Sophie are going up against AFL player Daniel Gorringe, who is highly doubtful that the pair will split the prize money.
"If they split that money, I'll eat my left shoe. It's very hard when the money is in front of you. They might prove me wrong and I hope they do," he said.
"Sophie and Chad would deserve that win if they get it."
