Imogen Anthony
In an episode that saw two housemates evicted, Imogen became the last person to be eliminated before the grand finale. In a move orchestrated by Josh Carroll, Imogen was sent home as he "stuck to his word" and voted to keep Ellie Gonsalves and Luke Toki in the game.
"I’m really proud of myself… I did not expect to be so transformed by this experience," Imogen said as she left, leaving the final three in the BBVIP Hotel.
"I am so proud of making it to the top four, even though I was a complete sook," Imogen wrote on Instagram after the episode aired. "If only you had seen me in the 24 hours leading up to Big Brother. I was full of self-doubt, petrified and feeling completely out of my depths, having therapy sessions and calling everyone close to me for last minute encouragement.
"I have met some of the best, strangest, and most interesting people, with memories that I will forever hold close to my heart. I have made friends for life. Thank you to all the housemates, BB and Endemol Shine for one of the best experiences of my life to date. And of course, thanks to you guys for all of the support you have shown me during this life changing journey..."
Jessika Power
She put up a tough fight, but Jessika was sent home in the second-last episode of the season in a power move pulled off by Ellie Gonsalves.
"It definitely bites a bit knowing that I made it this far, but didn’t make it to the end," Jess said upon elimination, adding that she was excited to see who would take out the top prize.
Adding on Instagram, Jess said she was “so grateful” to play on behalf of her charity, Aus Childhood Foundation.
"WOW what an experience playing [the] game was!!" Jess wrote. "So many ups and downs and twists and turns all in all, I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to fight for my chosen charity @auschildhood foundation along side an amazing group of people who I will never ever forget."
Thomas Markle Jr
Time was finally up for Meghan Markle's infamous brother in Episode Nine. Up against Ellie Gonsalves on the chopping block, Thomas was sent home for being a "floater" in a move orchestrated by Luke Toki.
"Big Brother’s VIP hotel has definitely given me a life-changing experience," Thomas said after being booted. "It gave me the opportunity to cleanse my soul.
"I mailed off the good letter to Meghan. It’s in the post. The ultimate outcome from that letter would be the smallest of any type of response, in any way, shape or form – as long as it’s positive. It may take a month, it may take a year, but if I get something out of it I have achieved my goal."
Probably didn't need to go on a TV show for that kind of closure. But we're glad he's at least leaving on more positive terms, after dragging his sister time after time to the media.
Dayne Beams
He was given a second chance in the Big Brother Hotel after facing a double elimination with Ellie Gonsalves, but ultimately Dayne was sent home in Episode Eight.
After Big Brother dropped the bombshell that Ellie and Dayne were still in the hotel and had a chance to return to the game the following day, tensions were higher than ever.
However, while Ellie made her case to stay in the Hotel to the other Housemates, Dayne took a relaxed approach, believing his position was safe – a fatal error that saw him sent home by the difference of a single vote.
Bernard Curry
After ousting The General Danny Hayes the previous episode, Bernie was next on the chopping block in Episode Six.
Of the "feud" with Danny, the Wentworth actor says it was a little too much for the Hotel.
"He came in just chucking grenades and ran, and that, to me, was slightly unnecessary," Bernie tells New Idea. The actor went on to say that had Danny "played his card a little more chilled out" he likely would have made it further than he did.
Though he was successful in ditching Danny, Bernie put a target on his back in doing so and was booted out the following night, in a move orchestrated by Luke Toki and Josh Carroll.
Danny Hayes
With perhaps a little too much confidence in his strategy, Danny made it clear to Bernard Curry that he wanted him gone. So, when Bernard won the challenge in Episode Five and picked who would be up for elimination, he obviously put forward Danny's name.
Against Josh Carroll and Thomas Markle Jr, Danny was the one to get the boot.
"I was always going home early .. the question was do I just shut my mouth and take a bullet in the back of the head quietly or do I stir the house up and try make a big play?" Danny wrote on Instagram after his elimination.
"I did try my hardest but I failed. Good Luck to the other house mates. Thanks for the ton of support I have had from all the BB Fans! It’s been genuinely humbling and overwhelming."
Caitlyn Jenner
With the housemates stuck in a lift and forced to evict someone before the doors would re-open, Caitlyn took it upon herself to leave.
The former Olympian explained that she could personally "take care" of her chosen charity, Trans Pride Australia, and that it was time to "look at the big picture".
She explained that she had a lot of people working for her in California, and that she’d had a "wonderful, wonderful time", but that "it was time to move on" and invited all the housemates to visit her in LA.
Caitlyn, and her Kardashian gossip, will be very much missed on the show!
Matt Cooper
With King of the Jungle, Luke Toki, up to his old Survivor tricks, it was only a matter of time before somebody got blindsided. He'd attempted to pull one off during Omarosa's elimination, but this time, with trickster Danny Hayes on his side, Luke had it in the bag.
NRL player Matt was up for elimination alongside Josh Carroll and Thomas Markle Jr. And while Thomas seemed to be the pick to leave, Matt ended up with the majority of votes, and was given the standard 60 seconds to say goodbye.
Matt doesn't seem thrilled about the exit, taking to Instagram after the elimination to tag the housemates who had double-crossed him.
"Love @beama_9 @ellie_gonsalves @caitlynjenner @therealthomasmarklejr," he wrote.
"The way the rest of you who lied to my face gave me your word, word of [sic] there kids @luketoki @iamjoshcarroll @jessika_power @imogen_anthony dog act!!!"
Omarosa Manigault Newman
Omarosa was an interesting character from the start, providing insight into what it was like to work as a political aide to Donald Trump before he unceremoniously fired her, like he did so many during his administration.
Omarosa was put up for eviction by Caitlyn Jenner, along with Bernard Curry and Dayne Beams, and was ultimately cast the most votes, despite the blindsiding master, Luke Toki, making a strong attempt to save her.
However, once Omarosa said her goodbyes, Big Brother announced he has ‘plans’ for her in the lower levels of the house, which is referred to as ‘the hotel’ this season. It was her doing that released fan-favourite, Daniel Hayes, out into the hotel.
Big Brother VIP airs Monday to Wednesday, 7:30pm, on Channel Seven.
