After copping critisism for rushing her wedding forward to beat the Australian government's lockdown laws, which were enforced from midnight, Bindi told her fans, 'Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history. Today we celebrated life and revelled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens.'
Then, she shared the most special details from her and Chandler's wedding.
'Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory. We shared tears and smiles and love. Thankfully, since we all live at Australia Zoo as a family, we could be there for each other. To everyone reading this - stay safe, social distance and remember LOVE WINS!'
Chandler commented alongside Bindi's post, 'The best day of my life. I love you so much.'
Her brother Robert also made a gorgeous tribute to his big sister. He wrote: 'It was a truly incredible day and one of the most special moments of my life walking you down the aisle and watching you start your married life together. I love you both!'
To Chandler, he added: 'I couldn’t be happier to welcome you into our family. It was a beautiful day!'
Aww.
The government's new laws restrict the number of guests at a wedding to five, and all guests must be 1.5 metres apart, for the foreseeable future.
American, Chandler proposed to Bindi on her 21st birthday in 2019, after a six-year courtship.
