For some time now, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston have been subtly hinting that a Breaking Bad flick is coming our way. Now, Netflix has officially announced that El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will drop on the streaming giant on October 11.
Although they're remaining tight-lipped about the inner workings of the upcoming flick, Netflix has revealed the story will focus on Jesse Pinkman— one of Mexico's finest meth makers— who was last seen escaping from the neo-Nazi compound in the jaw-dropping final episode.
Written and directed by Vince Gilligan— the bonafide legend behind the wildly popular series— the brief synopsis reads, “Fugitive Jesse Pinkman runs from his captors, the law, and his past.”
Two years ago, Vince sent Aaron a draft script for the movie and, surprisingly, he was shocked to read what happened to Jesse after the show's closing credits.

“I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds,” he said about reading the script. “I was just lost in my thoughts. As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that Vince wanted to take me on this journey.”
“I don’t know what to tell you I ain’t said, like, 500 times already,” Skinny Pete says in the teaser. “I have no idea where he is. Don’t know where he’s headed, either. … But yo, even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you. … No way I’m helping you people help put Jesse Pinkman back inside a cage.”
At this point in time, it's unclear whether Bryan Cranston's character Walter White, who was shot in the final moments of the series finale, will return in flashbacks.
Rumours a Breaking Bad movie was in the works began last year when a New Mexico newspaper caught wind of a strangely named movie shooting in the desert— a location BB fans know all too well. However, in a recent interview with the New York Times, Aaron said filming wrapped months before anyone began asking questions.
