The three stars, two of whom have worked in the Australian soapie scene, will be based in New South Wales while taking part in Class of ’07.

Megan and Caitlin shared the news on social media this morning.

“I am pumped to be a part of this crazy good, estrogen fueled, female-friendship love story. We’ve shot one week and yes our periods have already synced,” Megan joked on Instagram.

“I have to go now. My planet needs me,” Caitlin wrote, likely referring to her return home to film.

Referred to as a ‘high-concept’ comedy series, Class of ’07 will focus on three girls attending their 10-year high school reunion, only for an apocalyptic tidal wave to hit.

The group of women, which will include Caitlin, Emily and Megan, are left to find a way to survive on the island peak of their high school campus without breaking into a Lord of the Flies type scenario.

Class of ’07 is one of 14 Australian Amazon Originals commissioned since 2910, and will be directed by Kacie Anning, an award-winning Australian director.

“I am excited to be underway on our all-female ensemble comedy, with our insanely talented cast and crew,” Kacie has said.

Caitlin got her start on the Australian small screen, starring as Rachel Kinski on Neighbours from 2005 to 2009. She opted out of the show in 2008 in order to focus on her final high school exams, with her final scenes airing early the following year.

Afterwards, she went on to star as Ellie Linton in Tomorrow, When the War Began, and the critically acclaimed Australian series Please Like Me.

She was also cast as Kenna in the US series Reign, a re-imagining of the life of Mary Queen of Scots.

Megan, however, rose to fame in The Secret Daughter, where she starred alongside Jessica Mauboy.

She had roles in The Naked Wanderer and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, before joining the cast of Home and Away for a brief stint in 2021.

Emily Browning has been working internationally since 2002, when she starred in Ghost Ship, which she followed up Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events in 2004.

Since then, she has been in the horror film The Uninvited, action film Sucker Punch and independent drama Sleeping Beauty. Most recently, she starred as Laura Moon on the series American Gods.
