The former ironwoman, who currently stars on SAS: Australia, went on to call her partner an “incredible father and husband”.
“It doesn’t matter where you are in the world or what you are doing, you always put everyone else before you,” she continued. “You have a heart of gold and your smile lights up every room you walk into. Your girls love you and we hope you have a [wonderful] day.”
She also addressed the toll long-distance had taken on their relationship, as David continues to be separated from his family while playing in the Indian Premier League.
“It’s a strange feeling having spent so many months apart but hopefully soon we will get the chance to celebrate your special day,” she shared. “Love you so much.”
Earlier, David shared a cute video of his daughters singing him ‘Happy Birthday’ via Instagram Stories.
“Gorgeous thanks girls @candywarner1,” he captioned the clip. “So much love.”
The couple are no strangers to PDA, frequently sharing loved up posts on each others Instagram accounts.
Back in September, the sportsman shared a gorgeous snap from their wedding day, admitting he often reflects on how grateful he is to have found his “soul mate and best friend.”
“Laughter, tears, ups and downs, words will never be enough to describe what @candywarner1 means to me,” he wrote. “I truly am grateful I have such a strong, determined, loving, caring wife. #loveyou #missya #timeflies”
Candice replied: “I love you darling. Thanks for such beautiful words. You and the girls are my world. Miss you lots. Proud of you. 💕💗”
David and Candice tied the knot in a stunning ceremony held at the Terrara House Estate on the South Coast in NSW in April 2015.
“How could I not have a tear in my eye when I saw Candice walk around the corner looking like the most beautiful bride in the world?” David told Woman's Day shortly after their big day.
“I was struck again by just how lucky I was to find 'The One' – the woman I will spend the rest of my life with,” he said.
