Born in South Africa, Scherri-Lee spent most of her childhood growing up on a farm in Ballito Bay.
When she was eight-years-old, Scherri-Lee and her family made the move to Perth, where she then took a liking to dance and ballet.
And after being scouted by an agency at 16, she pursued a career in modelling, and then also went to University for a communications degree.
In between her studies, she travelled interstate and overseas, before going on to live in Melbourne for a few years.
She then decided it was time to return to Perth, where she joined Nine Perth in 2014, and has been there ever since.
Now, Scherri-Lee is opening up a whole new chapter in her life as she takes on Celebrity Apprentice, where she's hoping to win and raise money for her chosen charity, Dress For Success Perth.
"This is a charity supporting women who are coming out of domestic violence. Women with vision impairments. Women who are refugees," Scherri-Lee told Channel Nine.
"The whole concept is that they build their confidence up and provide them with the skills to get them back into the workforce," she said.
The beauty queen has also said that she's ready to step out of her comfort zone and "tackle any twists and turns" that are bound to come her way.
“Yes, Lord Sugar might seem intimidating, but I’m a lady on a mission, focused on raising big bucks for charity," she told WAtoday.
"Don’t underestimate this Perth gal – I don’t want to hear those words, ‘you’re fired’ anytime soon," she added.
