Ellie Goulding’s family is growing!
The Still Falling For You singer is expecting her second child and walked the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London proudly displaying her growing bump.
Whilst this is her second, the baby will be Ellie’s first with boyfriend Beau Minniear. The singer welcomed son Arthur in April 2021 with ex-husband, Caspar Jopling.
As Ellie’s family grows, here’s what we’ve learnt about her journey to parenthood.

Who is Ellie Goulding’s husband?
Ellie is currently dating American actor Beau Minniear and the pair were first linked in July 2025. They haven’t made it Instagram official yet but it’s unlikely that they ever will, as the two make an effort to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
Beau, who is 10 years Ellie’s junior, has starred in films such as 2021’s Night at the Eagle Inn and 2025’s Bad Haircut but starred in the steamy music video for her song Destiny.
“This was the first time perhaps that I felt a loving affinity for a person I wasn’t in love with, instead a sort of gratitude for their raw acceptance of my need for exploration and catharsis with their sex ‘I hit the lotto when I found you’ I love the old school romance of that concept” Ellie explained to fans on social media.
“For the first time ever I didn’t need a person for validation or protection, and the person didn’t need me. But we just wanted each other. That felt like a potent shift in the way I loved myself as a whole. Musically I wanted it to reflect a necessary recklessness that comes with gaining power, over my sexuality, sensuality and embracing the chaos of my life.”
Ellie was previously married to Caspar Jopling, an art dealer and the father of her first son, Arthur.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at York Minster that was attended by celebrities and royals including Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, James Blunt and Katy Perry.
However after nearly five years of marriage, Ellie and Caspar announced that they were separating in February 2024.
“In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago,” Ellie wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time.
“We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our sons best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.”
What has Ellie said about motherhood?
During her first pregnancy, the pop star revealed that whilst she saw her friends become parents, she didn’t think that she would have the same experience, explaining that she never thought of herself as “that womanly”.
“I guess I have this kind of facade — or, I tried to be this archetypal, like, pop star. None of my friends ever expected me to have kids, basically. And I understand why they wouldn’t have,” Ellie told Paper in 2021.

However shortly after welcoming her son Arthur, the Lights hitmaker told Marie Claire in 2022 that she never believed people when they said that motherhood changes you but was immediately proven wrong.
“I thought I’d be a bit tired, have different priorities, but no. It really has changed everything about my life,” she admitted to the publication.
“There have been so many chemical hormonal changes that I still can’t even compute. My brain is like a different brain and I’m still trying to figure that out. While I’ve been trying to figure out the changes to my mind and body, I have been spending a lot of time by myself to reconnect and rebalance.”
