The celebrity makeup artist had barely finished making up the models of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018 when it was time to wing her way back to London to receive the award from Queen Elizabeth II.
The award was designed to recognise Charlotte as one of the most influential figures within the beauty and cosmetics industry. Not surprisingly Charlotte, who is a celebrity favourite and is responsible for many of Amal Clooney's most beautiful red-carpet looks, was over-the-moon.
She took to Instagram to share her delight saying that she was both thrilled and honoured.
"I feel so incredibly honoured and proud to have received my MBE today," she posted.
"I want to thank my wonderful family, my friends, my dream team, and my inspirational industry peers who have supported me along the way! I always say it takes a team to build a dream, and this is a dream come true for me."
An excited Charlotte, who is also the preferred makeup artist of Kate Moss and Nicole Kidman, described her day as magical.
"Today has been one of the most magical days of my life," she wrote.
"I am so thrilled to receive this honour, especially from Her Majesty, the Queen who has been an endless source of inspiration to me."
Charlotte, who added the title MBE to her Instagram handle immediately, wore a low-cut black Temperley London dress, Lara Bohnic belt, veiled hat by Victoria Grant and Jimmy Choo shoes. Her makeup? All her own products of course.
After the ceremony she happily posed for snaps with fans, friends and family holding her precious award aloft.
