"He cried to us, 'Please can we respect each other in the break-up?'" Char-Char explained.
"I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, of course, I would never do nothing.' Two weeks later, the promo, he's dancing around in the video, [saying] 'Can't wait to meet new girls, I I've just come out of a toxic relationship.'"
All together now: OUCH.
Charlotte continued that, at that stage, she was still begging for him to take her back.
(Again, OUCH...)
But hindsight's 20/20, as they say, and post-split, Char quickly began to see things with crystal clarity.
"It's the best thing that could have happened to us. That relationship was all wrong," she said confidently.
"He wouldn't even hold me hand. There was no, like, affection; we would never kiss with tongues. It would be lucky if we kissed once a day... In bed, we never spooned."
Did we mention, ouch?
And while Charlotte was understandably horrified at Josh describing their relationship as 'toxic' on British TV, Charlotte admits things were far from perfect between them.
"Josh did the odd TV work together, and it was stressful," she confessed. "There was a lot of pressure on us. There was a lot of arguments.
"I'm not sad about the break-up, I'm really not," she continued.
"I feel in such a better place and I'm actually kind of glad it happened. I shouldn't have kept it on, and that's why me mam said, 'Don't you dare. You need some good few months on your own. Just learn to love yourself. Not rely on someone else.'"
The recent end of her relationship with Josh is what prompted Charlotte to pump the brakes on her jungle romance with Ryan, with the Geordie Shore alum revealing she isn't interested in jumping into anything serious with anyone so soon after the split.
Speaking to co-star Tanya about the state of her relationship with the former MAFS contestant, the blonde Brit said that her desire to be single now overrides her seemingly strong feelings for Ryan.
"I've just come out of a really serious relationship. Before that one I got in a relationship really fast from another serious relationship so I feel like, all together, I’ve been in a relationship for three years," she told the popular Aussie comedian.
“I need some time to be single and have fun.”
