This week Italian Influencer and blogger Chiara Ferragni got married to her rapper partner Fedez at the Palazzo Nicolaci di Villadorata in Sicily. Harpers Bazaar reported that the wedding received 67 million interactions from Instagram posts, comments, and stories and reported online press.
The incredibly extravagant and visually stunning wedding was captured by many other influencer friends including fellow influencer and entrepreneur Rachel Zeilic who snapped a beautiful image of the newly married couple.
The standout guest would have to be their adorable 7-month-old son Leone.
The bride wore many dresses throughout the night, all by fashion powerhouse Dior. The haute couture high-neck style dress was designed by Maria Grazia and took over 1600 hours to create. 400 metres of fabric was used for the creation.
“At the beginning, I didn’t want a traditional wedding dress,” Chiara admits. “I felt I wanted more of an evening dress.” She goes on to say “I met with Maria Grazia Chiuri, who thought we could realize a modern yet classical wedding dress without losing my contemporary identity and fusing the fact that I am a young Italian woman.” she tells VOGUE.
“We made a crochet jumpsuit that recalls the ancient practice of southern Italy and France, where the technique is strongly associated to a female tradition,” says Dior designer Maria Grazia Chiuri. “I sensed she wanted to marry in something that represented the modern woman she is.” Says the designer.
