Since the podcast The Teacher's Pet, there has been a deep fascination about Dawson.
Now a comment made by Dawson's brother Peter has intrigued followers of the story.
Peter, now 72, revealed to The Daily Telegraph that his "former mother-in-law walked out on her three children in Sydney 60 years ago."

The paper clarified that she relocated to New Zealand and remarried there. There is no suggestion Dawson had anything to do with this.
Dawson's lawyer spoke of the strange coincidence, saying "these things do happen."

Chris' brother believes like his mother-in-law, maybe Lynette is alive.
"She did not contact her family, did not contact the kids, did not contact her husband," he said.
"We don't know where Lyn is. I hope she is living happily somewhere in the world."

On Jan. 9, 1982, Lynette Dawson, a 33-year-old wife and mother of two little girls, went missing and she has never been seen since.
Chris has steadfastly maintained his innocence, saying the mother of his children, Shanelle, then 4, and Sherryn, 2, simply ran away.
At the time, Chris, a school teacher, was having an affair with his student Joanne Curtis.
