Hemsworth was seen wearing a long blonde wig tied back off his face on the set, while Hiddleston, 35, debuted a new look, wearing a long black wig and a full face of makeup.
The Hollywood actors greeted fans with a wave and a smile as they made their way on set.
The film, which will be released in cinemas in late 2017, has already been shooting on the Gold Coast for a number of weeks.
The Marvel sequel will also star Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Cate Blanchett as Hela and Idris Elba as Heimdall.
