Cole and Lili respectively play Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper on the hit teen drama series Riverdale and started dating in 2017 after meeting on set but didn't make their official couple debut until the 2018 Met Gala.
Thanks to their characters' love story, the couple earned their own nickname with fans affectionately referring to them as Bughead.
This isn't the first time they've been the subject of break up rumours though - last year the couple set the record straight to W Magazine, where they graced the cover.
"Don't believe everything you read on the internet, kids," they said to the publication whilst Lili called Cole her "boyfriend" during a September issue with Coveteur.
Cole and Lili have kept their relationship relatively private, and Lili hinted that it was her boyfriend who was keen to keep things on the down low.
"At first, I didn't want things private," she told W. "Now that I'm X amount of years in, I do appreciate the privacy we have, that he's encouraged me to take. No one knows how long we've been together, and no one will until we're ready to say it. No one knows how we fell in love, except for our close friends and us. It's really special."
Cole responded rumours that he had moved on from Lili and cheated with model Kaia Gerber via a passionate open letter on his Instagram Stories.
"When I first stepped into a public relationship this was one of the foreseeable consequences," he wrote.
"And while I truly never intended to indulge any part of my private life to the ravenous horde, it's clear my restraint in updating them has allowed them to push their own agenda onto my habits and lifestyle. So in conclusion — please eat my delectable plump a**."
