"This is absolutely ridiculous and selfish," one person said.
"Very uncool. Putting her own wedding day ahead of many people’s lives. F**k right off," another added.
"Nice social distancing under those umbrellas?! Irresponsible and taking the p*ss doing it now, to avoid a rule. No best wishes for these newlyweds. Should be ashamed of yourselves," one wrote.
Another called on the police to get involved: "Break this up Queensland Police. This is photographic evidence that these people are not social distancing. What Bindi Irwin is doing is disgusting and the height of selfish entitlement."
"Wow. I guess Bindi Irwin's PR person and her common sense were off today with coronavirus? Having a wedding today screams selfish brat," another added.
Another said: "Doesn’t get much more selfish and entitled than the fast-tracked Bindi Irwin wedding amidst a government enforced national lockdown because of a deadly global health pandemic ... does it?"
Bindi Irwin exits a vehicle surrounded by umbrellas.
Earlier today, she could be seen exiting a car in a white gown at an erected wedding venue space at her beloved Australia Zoo - the wildlife sanctuary created by her late father Steve Irwin and her mum, Terri, in North Queensland.
It's believed her brother, Robert Irwin walked her down the aisle, in place of her father.
The government's new laws restrict the number of guests at a wedding to five, and all guests must be 1.5 metres apart, for the foreseeable future.
American, Chandler proposed to Bindi on her 21st birthday in 2019, after a six-year courtship.
A photographer waits to capture the blushing bride.
"She said YES! Almost 6 years ago we met at Australia Zoo," he shared on Instagram at the time. "I immediately fell head over heels for her kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light.
"Proposing in her very favourite place in the zoo, surrounded by animals, seemed like the perfect way to embark on this incredible new chapter in our lives. Bee, I love you more than anything in this world and I always will. Happy Birthday."
