“If I do get married I would like to go somewhere where I’ll have a lot of fun with the boys, like a surf trip – I don’t want to stay in Kings Cross at a bar” revealed Matty.
Host Sarah McGilvray quickly asked: “So hold on are you about to propose to Laura is what I just heard?”
Matty clearly stumbles, before saying: “I thought about where I might have a bucks.. uhh In London…”
The 31-year-old then he tried to divert the conversation to Matt De Groots Bucks that he’s celebrating next weekend, by saying “So where are you going for your Bucks Matt?”
But Sarah doesn’t let Matty J off lightly, and questions “So are you going to propose to Laura before the Baby is born?”
Matty responds with “You’re [Sarah & Matt] on the list of the first people I would tell when the time is right!” Then Sarah asks “So it will happen before the baby?” and Matty J quickly responded with “no” – So it will be after the baby… stay tuned!
On December 15, the couple announced they were expecting their first child after finding love on The Bachelor in 2017.
Matty told Daily Mail Australia that he was planning to propose back in November.
'It will definitely be next year,' Matty told the publication.
'I've always been a fan of a quick turnaround. I've never been a fan of a long engagement,' he added.
'If you're going to do it, you should have the occasion take place within 12 months.'
