Down Under, when we think of Halloween we think freakish monsters and cavity-inducing lollies, but we headed to The City Of Angels to try out a few frightening activities have truly inspired the festivities behind the scenes of our favourite gory films. Scroll on if you dare...
This is one is for those who are HEAVILY into true-crime! Expect to indulge in the deeply twisted part of Downtown L.A. as The Haunted Tales tour covers murders, mysteries, suicides and unresolved crimes which have plagued the sunny city for decades. This tour will open you up to the spooky ghost stories that continue to haunt Tinseltown – we highly recommend you do this one during daylight. WARNING: You may or may not need to sleep with the lights on for a few nights though.
Universal Studios has long been a huge attraction site for tourists, but their Halloween Horror Nights event is an ELEVEN out of ten – err given their Stranger Things-inspired maze that is sure to increase the heart rates of even the toughest critics. If the spooky actors who are dressed as main characters from the show don't frighten you, then the creepy sounds that echo around you will.
Picture this, it's pitch-black and you're forced to sit on the back of a pick-up truck, surrounded by a series of scary monsters who scratch at the barrier of the vehicle and clowns who chase after you as the truck makes its way around the deserted property. Yep, imagine that but add a mix terrifying howls in the background.
Ok, so Six Flags is traditionally known for its epic rollercoaster rides, but we're certain the REAL jeepers will hit home when you see the army of creatures who parade around the theme park during late hours of the night. Expect hundreds of actors in realistic make-up (and prosthetics) to be transformed into fictional figures that will probably haunt you in your nightmares for years to come.
