Elsa's fans and followers were quick to share their Christmas messages in both English and Spanish in the comments, and some couldn't resist commenting on the giant tree.
"Wow your tree is magical," one wrote.
"I remember last year's photo, I can’t believe Christmas has come again so quickly. Your tree is tremendous," remarked another.
One even joked: "Did Chris just carry that in on his shoulder? Lol."
The Hemsworth-Pataky clan are clearly big fans of the silly season - Elsa shared a snap of herself and her and Chris' three kids India Rose and twins Sasha and Tristan decorating their tree together last year.
Chris and Elsa also hosted a fun-filled lunch with their nearest and dearest at their mega mansion.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Chris' younger brother Liam, who had announced his split from wife Miley Cyrus that year, was there to take part in the festivities.
"I love Christmas it really brings people together. Thanks @elsapatakyconfidential and her Spanish family for truly making me feel part of the family," Chris captioned his 2019 Christmas post on Instagram.
Since there's still a global pandemic, it's expected that Elsa, Chris and their three kids will be staying at home this year in Byron Bay.
The family moved from Hollywood to the NSW coastal town in 2014 in a bid to have a more down-to-earth lifestyle away from the showbiz capital.
"We are trying to be normal people and being able to go with the kids and there are no photographers and people following you... we live on a property in the middle of nowhere, so we don't have that problem anymore. And that's what we wanted," Elsa previously explained.
She added: "In Byron Bay we feel like normal local people and that's really nice for us."
