Her latest dress is a bespoke Eco-Age approved creation that uses 100% sustainable fabrics with an off-the-shoulder neckline, fitted column silhouette, and a long cape train. The brand told PEOPLE they took this commission very seriously, ensuring that the ice blue dress met with the Green Carpet challenge’s exacting standards every step of the way. The designer added that this was a process she was thrilled to embark on with Emma and her stylist.
Emma Watson wears a fairy-tale dress to the UK premiere of Beauty and the Beast
Emma Watson knows a thing or two about creating a truly magical moment. The actress began honing her expertise as Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise, before going on to deliver a pretty transcendent feminist screed at the UN, and of course now, she’s landed the enchanted role of a lifetime playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast. And to kick off the second leg of her European press tour of the film, Watson attended the UK premiere of the film wearing a gown worthy of any Disney princess.
For this particular tour, the actress has taken it upon herself to make sure that every single thing she wears is ecologically sound and sustainably produced, even launching a separate Instagram account to document her daily head-to-toe ensembles complete with credits and a bit of the backstory behind the look. For the London premiere on Thursday night, she wore another green gown from New Zealand-born, London-based designer Emilia Wickstead.
