Sylvia Jeffrey’s might be co-hosting the red carpet coverage at the 2019 Logie Awards, but her husband Peter Stefanovic was nowhere to be seen tonight. Before the rumour mill went into overdrive, the former Today show host revealed to WHO that her husband is prepping for his first shift as the co-host of Sky News’ flagship program, First Edition.
“Pete’s great! He starts his new job tomorrow at 5 am,” the Australian journalist tells WHO while walking the red carpet at the 61st Logie Awards held on the Gold Coast. “It’s ok though, I have loads of friends here, I am in good hands.”

While the news presenter says she’s excited about his new gig, she did admit she’ll miss seeing his face around the office.
“I will miss him a little bit. We didn’t work together too much but definitely.”
Pete isn’t the only one getting used to a new routine. After the Today show overhauled their breakfast program lineup, Sylvia joined Channel Nine’s prime time news program, A Current Affair. The unexpected change followed a challenging and “strange” few months for the 32-year-old and her husband who was axed from his Nine gig amid rumours he was overheard by an Uber driver whinging about the network and his colleagues with his brother Karl Stefanovic.
“It has been a really interesting and fun year,” she tells WHO, admitting that she’s loving her new TV gig. “I love the team, a great team.”
