English songstress Adele, who has been on the US leg of her Live 2016 tour, has cancelled two shows in Phoenix, Arizona, after suffering a severe cold.
The 28-year-old took to her Twitter account let fans know she was too sick to continue performing and she may have “pushed too hard” of late.
“I can’t do my show tonight… I am really really sorry,” she said in the video, adding, “Even if I did the show, it wouldn’t be very good.”
The singer posted a statement early Thursday morning that said the Pheonix show was rescheduled for Nov. 21 at Talking Stick Resort arena and that any tickets for Wednesday night’s show would be honoured then.
“Anyone unable to make the rescheduled date should contact their point of purchase for a refund,” the statement read.
Promoters of the show issued a statement saying, “Please hold onto your tickets and stay tuned for updates. We apologise for any inconvenience. Refunds available at point of purchase.”
