An insider source told Heat magazine: “Adele is finding the attention very embarrassing. She admits that although she may now look the best she ever has, she still gets incredibly self-conscious about her appearance.”
“She sometimes finds it hard to believe that she looks as good as people say she does. She says she’s shocked when she looks in the mirror, but she’s really enjoying buying so many new clothes.
However, the singer is also “having a blast” experimenting with fashion and has been trying on all sorts of garments “from skimpy dresses to statement red-carpet creations.”
“It’s like she’s making up for lost time, and she’s spent thousands of dollars!”
Earlier this month, Adele wowed her fans and followers with her first social media post of 2020.
Dressed in a tight black dress and with a beaming smile across her face, the Hello hitmaker thanked everyone for their birthday wishes as well as the workers on the frontline fighting the coronavirus.
“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she captioned her post.
“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️ 2020 okay bye thanks x”
According to a source from E! Online, Adele’s weight loss is a result of her new and intense exercise schedule.
“She goes to different gyms. She goes early in the morning and meets with her trainer. She gets her workout in first thing,” a source close to the singer revealed.
“She works out for about an hour and leaves drenched in sweat and looking like she worked very hard. She’s also staying active going on walks and getting in a lot of steps. She is in a groove.”
While holidaying in Anguilla, Lexi Larson, a 19-year-old fan of Adele’s, had the opportunity of a lifetime when she met the Grammy Award winner in person and had a chat with her.
Adele reportedly told Lexi that she’d lost around 100 pounds (45kg) and that it had been “a crazy positice experience.”
“She seemed so happy, and she looked amazing. She seemed really confident,” Lexi told PEOPLE magazine.
