She has translated her own heartbreak into some of the most powerful lyrics, creating a cathartic release for anyone nursing a broken heart.

But as fitting as her own music is at capturing feelings that go with a split, Adele, 28, has revealed the songs she personally listens to when dealing with her own heartache.

The British singer recalled her six go-to songs in moments of romantic crisis for WHO on June 28, and her list is an eclectic mix of modern pop hits and classical love ballads:

On top of that, Adele gave details of her post-breakup routine. “I mope around for a little while,” she said. “I do embrace the fact that I’m heartbroken. I don’t move on quickly. I don’t know if that’s because it seems that I’m only really creative when I’m a bit momentarily depressed.”

In a letter to fans shared on Twitter in October 2015, Adele admitted her 2012 best-selling album 21 was based on previous heartbreak, but wrote if she had to “label” her latest one, 25, “I would call it a make-up record.”

In 2011, the singer told The Guardian that she will never reveal the identity of the man behind her wounded love songs, saying: “Who cares? Nobody famous, just old boyfriends. I don’t date celebrities. I ain’t f****** Taylor Swift, do you know what I mean?”

Meanwhile, the star seems a long way just now from heartbreak. She has a three-year old son, Angelo, with her partner of five years, Old Etonian and charity worker Simon Konecki, 41, and her man is “so there for me and so loyal and is really a part of my core now,” she said in November. “I’ve got his love.”
