In preview clips of the reality TV show that’s taken the country by storm, the dating show star, 34, breaks down during an intense grilling by directing staff (DS) about her failed relationship with the personal trainer.

“I still think he is my soulmate; our timelines are different,” Ali tearfully confessed. “I kind of feel a bit empty.”

But according to Taite, he had no idea this scene was in the works, telling Daily Mail Australia on Monday: “It would have been nice to hear it from her.”

Taite confirmed he wasn’t given the heads-up about what she had said during the show.

“She hasn’t spoken to me about anything since she left,” he added.

“I guess I have to wait and see what’s on tonight. I think she is in a stage of her life where she is really finding herself truly.”

Taite and Ali called it quits in July after two years together following their fairytale romance on The Bachelorette.

The blonde bombshell picked Taite over love rival Todd King in The Bachelorette’s 2018 season finale, telling him: “I’m willing to risk it all because I’m so in love with you.”

Despite the heartfelt declaration, the pair went their separate ways and announced their break-up with near-identical statements on Instagram.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we want to let everyone know that we have decided to take time apart in order to give each other space and time to fully focus on our own paths,” Ali wrote.

“We both love each other deeply & only want the best for each other & both want the ultimate happiness for each other and hopefully our paths will reconnect again soon.

“We’ve decided to be open with this so there’s no speculation and so we expect love, respect & kindness in return. I love you Taite.”

Last week, Ali told Woman’s Day that taking part in gruelling reality TV series SAS Australia helped her through her devastating break-up with Taite.

“I have my good days and my bad days. Each day I am healing but I still have my bad days. I wish it wasn’t like that, I wish I wasn’t hurting but I am! I just hope that there are more good days ahead,” she admitted.

“[SAS Australia] was certainly a good distraction and in saying that, going into SAS I didn’t get nervous – there wasn’t a huge build-up and anticipation for me because I wasn’t really thinking about it.”
