Angie Kent and Carlin Sterritt have only been dating for a few months now, but according to the loved-up couple, the “honeymoon period” is well and truly over now that The Bachelorette has wrapped!

“It’s almost like the show was our honeymoon period, now it’s like full throttle, the real deal,” Angie told 9Honey at the AACTA Awards, admitting they’re the perfect match.
The Gogglebox star went on to surprisingly reveal she and the hunky personal trainer are “so comfortable” with each other, they happily go to the bathroom while the other is showering!
“[He’s] just having showers while I’m on the toilet, just normal couple stuff, no holding back,” she added.
During the interview, Carlinn also cleared the air about taking a subtle swipe at Timm Hanly, revealing he’s on good terms with his former Bachelorette rival.
Following his first official red-carpet appearance alongside his girlfriend, Angie Kent, at the AACTA Awards, Carlin opened about who he keeps in contact with, confirming he’s still friendly with a handful of his co-stars— despite the fact many of them were left broken-hearted when he was handed the final rose.
“We both speak to a couple of guys from the show,” Carlin also told 9Honey, name-checking “Ciarran, Alex, Matt, Glenn and Timm” as his mates.
“It’s a unique experience that everyone shares together and at the end of the day, they’re all very happy for me which is really important. I don’t know if that’s been the case in the past, but they certainly are happy for me and they all verbalise it,” he added.
Many were convinced tension between the pair began brewing when Angie revealed on The Kyle And Jackie O Show that she was in love with her “soulmate” Timm.
“Timm is such a character, and falling in love with him… well all of Australia did! Watching him go from this full-on lad to a romantic.
“Timm and I have spoken a lot. Carlin knows this. He checked on me to ask how I was and he tells me what he’s up to. It’s very very friendly, and I did say that Timm was my soulmate. I have soulmates. Yvie is my soulmate.
“I have best friends that are my soulmates. I think it came down to the fact that Timm was my soulmate. He was my best friend,” she concluded, referring to the heartbreaking way she had to let Timm go during the finale.
While Carlin did not react to Angie’s comment at the time, he later took a swipe at the fireproofer while vacationing with the Gogglebox star in Vietnam, seemingly referencing her comment about her friendship with Timm in a savage Instagram post.
“My best friend I haven’t friend zoned,” he captioned the photo which almost felt like a warning for Timm to back off.
His snide remark— which was no doubt made for Timm to see— came days before the F45 trainer touched on speculation his Gogglebox girlfriend only agreed to appear on The Bachelorette to boost her career.
“I had watched a few episodes of Angie on Gogglebox,” Carlin said at the 29-year-old’s Sydney book launch over the weekend. “She’s exactly who she is now, which is just awesome.”
According to New Idea, while Carlin— who sparked outrage when his brother confirmed he joined the show “to boost his acting career”— was adamant Angie applied for the hit dating series in a genuine attempt to find the man of her dreams, many of his co-stars remain unconvinced.
“I have mutual friends with her and asked my mates and they said she’s nothing like what you see,” one former Bachelorette star wrote in a group chat among the show’s contestants. “I’m sure he [Carlin] is [on there for love]. But she isn’t. She only wants fame.”
Another source echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “She was jobless before the show, she wasn’t allowed back on Gogglebox, she was doing nothing after I’m A Celeb. Now coincidentally, she’s releasing a book. This whole thing is a publicity stunt for her to get more famous. She’s just climbing that ladder of fame.”
