Bachelorette Angie Kent has responded to critical fans in a sassy video from her hospital bed after undergoing surgery.
The 30-year-old took to Instagram this morning to reveal she had successfully undergone key-hole surgery for endometriosis and is currently recovering in hospital.
Not long after, Angie shared another video directly responding to one follower who criticised the way the reality star was wearing her protective face mask.
“I love that out of all that someone was like ‘You have your mask on the wrong way’” she began in the video.
“So just to make people happy, look, better?” Angie says as she flips over her mask.
“Is that good? Do you feel better? Because I feel better because of that.”
Angie has spoken openly about her endometriosis diagnosis, a moment which turned her life upside down.
“I was relieved [by the diagnosis], because I finally had answers as to why I’d been in such pain for such a long time,” she told TV WEEK last year.
“It’s so crazy, but I think everything happens for a reason.”
The reality star admitted the disease only added to the pressures of her biological clock and future baby plans.
“I think there is pressure [to have a baby] once a woman gets to 30, I already felt that pressure.
“My doctor told me I’m fine, but what about when I want to have kids? I know from my research that I have to start thinking about it in the next few years – or at least start prepping my body now.”
It’s been a tumultuous few months for Angie, who recently announced her split from her Bachelorette boyfriend, Carlin Sterritt.
Taking to Instagram, she confirmed whirling rumours were true.
“There’s been a lot of speculation and rumours about the status of my relationship with Carlin,” Angie wrote.
“We have not wanted to confirm until this point because there have been much bigger issues going on in the world and we’ve both been taking space to think about what we really want.
“Matters of the heart are extremely difficult and I’m sad to say that Carlin and I have broken up.”
