After news broke on Monday that Chris Pratt had popped the question to his girlfriend, Katherine Schwarzenegger, all eyes were on his ex-wife, Anna Faris.
Now, the ‘Mom’ actress has spoken out about their shock engagement, admitting that she and her ex, whom she shares a son with, were in contact before he proposed.
“Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,” she said on her popular podcast ‘Anna Faris Is Unqualified’. “And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing.”
Happy for the pair, she responded with a hilarious suggestion.
“I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister.’ I’m not very good at it …”
I’m so happy for them,” she continued. “I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other.”
After the ‘Jurassic World’ actor, 39, and Schwarzenegger, 29, announced the exciting news on Instagram, Farris also took the opportunity to congratulate them once again. This time publically.
“I’m so happy for you both!!” Faris, 42, wrote on Instagram.
Pratt’s proposal comes almost two years after the actor announced that he and ex Faris were separating in July 2017 after eight years of marriage.
Pratt and Faris settled their divorce in November and each waived their right to spousal support.
They’ll continue to co-parent their son Jack and stipulated they live within a 5-mile radius of each other until their son completed the sixth grade.
